Graceful Audemars Piguet Watches That Only Gentlemen Wear

Audemars Piguet is one of the most renowned luxury watchmakers in the world. The Swiss luxury watch manufacturer has put out some of the best watches out there. The Swiss brand has manufactured some of the most elegant watches. Audemars Piguet is especially famous for its Royal Oak which has been the face of the brand for many, many years since it saved the brand from going out of business.

Gentlemen truly enjoy the graceful nature of the Audemars Piguet watches. Today we will be looking at some of the most elegant Audemars Piguet watches that only gentlemen wear.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak:

Do we need to recap its history again? The Royal Oak was launched in 1972 by Audemars Piguet. It was designed by designer Gerald Genta who was only given 24 hours to come up with a watch design. The Swiss luxury watch manufacturer was about to go out of business due to the "Quartz Crisis". The next day Gerald Genta came up with what we see today as the Royal Oak.

Over the years, the Royal Oak collection has had many new additions. We have picked some graceful models from the collection and listed them below.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak "Jumbo" Extra-Thin Ref. 15202ST.OO.1240ST.01

Of course, we had to mention what is considered the greatest Royal Oak of all time. The "Jumbo" Extra-Thin is, as its name suggests, "Extra-Thin", with its steel case only 8.1 mm thick. This watch has been replaced this year with a new generation, named ref. 16202, which features a new automatic Calibre 7121. The ref.15202ST features a self-winding movement, Calibre 2121. The caliber has a power reserve of 40 hours. This classic Audemars Piguet watch has a blue 'Petite Tapisserie' patterned dial.

As you might have already imagined, prices are not low. You will not find one below the $110,000 mark, primarily as it is no longer in production.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Ref. 26574BA.OO.1220BA.01

Moving on, we have another well-known Royal Oak, the Perpetual Calendar ref. 26574BA.OO.1220BA.01. It was first launched in 1981 and broke the world record for the thinnest rendering of the perpetual calendar. Over these 41 years, it has seen many variations. This model has an 18k yellow gold case which is 9.5 mm thick, which is thicker than the previous watch. It has a blue "Grande Tapisserie" patterned dial. The Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar ref. 26574BA.OO.1220BA.01 features a self-winding movement in Calibre 5134.

You can find this watch for a price of around $200,000.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Ref. 26579CE.OO.1225CE.01

Here we have another watch featuring a perpetual calendar. We think we can all agree that the color black is a classy color and everything looks good in black. The black ceramic Royal Oak is an attractive timepiece in the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak collection. Its black ceramic case is 9.5 mm thick. The ref. 26579CE.OO.1225CE.01 has a slate grey "Grande Tapisserie" patterned dial. If you want to buy a completely black watch, you can check out the Royal Oak self-winding ref. 77350CE.OO.1266CE.01, but its case is only 34 mm in size. Ref. 26579CE.OO.1225CE.01 features a self-winding movement in the Calibre 5134.

You can find this watch on the market at around $300,000.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore:

Let's now move on to another Audemars Piguet collection which is also famous among men, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore collection. The AP Royal Oak Offshore is a little bigger compared to the Royal Oak and has a different design. It also is more water-resistant and, overall, a more sporty watch. This collection also has many models, but we have handpicked a few and discussed them below.
