The Patek Philippe Gondolo Platinum White Gold Dial Men's Watch (ref. 5098P-001) features a mechanical manual winding movement; hand-guillochéd, silver dial with Patek Philippe and "Chronometro Gondolo" inscriptions; Breguet-style numerals; cambered, sapphire-crystal transparent case back; and 42 x 32mm, platinum case on a black alligator strap with a platinum ardillon buckle.
In 2007, Patek Philippe adapted one of the original "Chronometro Gondolo" pieces, a series of watches created by Patek in the early twentieth century, and created the 5098P. Over the past few years, the Ref. 5098 has become one of the most popular, contemporary tonneau-shaped watch models with horological aficionados.
