Tachymetric Scale

• Bezel: The monobloc Cerachrom bezel features a tachymetric scale for measuring average speeds up to 400 miles or kilometers per hour.
• Advantages:
  • Material: Made of high-tech ceramic, the bezel is corrosion-resistant, virtually scratchproof, and unaffected by UV rays.
  • Legibility: The tachymetric scale is exceptionally legible, thanks to the deposition of a thin layer of platinum via PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) process. The bezel is crafted in a single piece, ensuring waterproofness.

Platinum

• Characteristics: Platinum, known for its silvery whiteness and vibrant luminosity, is among the densest and heaviest metals, offering exceptional corrosion resistance. Rolex uses 950 platinum, an alloy with 950‰ purity, carefully crafted in-house.
• Properties: Despite its density, platinum is soft, elastic, and highly malleable, making its machining and polishing complex.

Oyster Bracelet

• Design: The Oyster bracelet is a robust and comfortable metal bracelet with broad, flat three-piece links. Introduced in the late 1930s, it remains a hallmark of the Oyster collection.
